The initial period of admission may now be three years instead of one for TN workers. A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this category or appropriate professional credentials such as required for accountants, engineers, attorneys, pharmacists, scientists and teachers. Spouses and unmarried minor children are included.
There is no annual limitation on the number of TNs admitted annually. Canadians may apply for admission at a U.S. Port-of-Entry by showing proof of Canadian citizenship, a letter from the prospective employer, and credential evaluations.
Mexicans must obtain a TN visa at a U.S. Consulate and must present their proof of citizenship, a letter from the prospective employer and credential evaluations.
There is no limit on the number of times a person may apply for a TN visa.
