through birth in the U.S. or its Territories; or through U.S. citizen parent (s) or
by naturalization; and
since 2000 the Child Citizenship Act (CCA) allows any adopted child of U.S. citizen (s) under 18 and who immigrate to the U.S. to acquire U.S. citizenship immediately after arrival.
